SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT

Intimate Assault by Means of Implicit Bias

DRESSING USU

Studying the dressing practices at Utah State University

Research Symposium Countdown

The purpose of this course is to explore dress as it expresses basic human needs and values of humanity and of individuals living in various cultures both within and outside of the United States. Dress can communicate individuality and an individual’s position within various social systems such as family, economy, religion, and polity to name a few. Due to the increased interdependence of our world, there is a great need to understand and appreciate cultures other than our own.
